Chapter 12

It could have gone better


Just a few days ago  Zuko and Katara got out of the hospital. Now its time to just sit back and relax.
“You guys really don’t have to do this,”  Katara said giving them both a serious look, “Its ok, just go.”
“No Katara we are staying , you need this and we want to help you,” Toph said
“And because we love you,” Suki leaned down and hugged Katara, Toph did too.
“Awww I love you guys too.”
Toph and Suki were at Katara’s house making sure she is fully relaxed, just my doing usual things like fluffing her pillow and stuff like that.
BAN!!! “Hey Zuko, what’s up my brother!” Sokka said charging into Zuko’s house with Aang.
“Oh hey guys… didn’t think I would see you in awhile, jeez  I wish that would have happened,” Zuko mumbled that last few words to himself.
“Oh of course not buddy we wanted to see you as soon as you got out of the hospital,” Sokka sat on the couch next to Zuko.
Aang sat on the couch too then Sokka asked, “Hey Aang, why didn’t’ you keep dating that Rose girl?”
“Well, for one reason, she creped my out, and for the other reason is well… yeah…” Aang didn’t’ want to continue his sentence afraid the guys would make fun of him.
“Yeah…” Zuko said waiting for Aang to finish.
Sokka and Zuko were both staring at  him intently now “There is no other reason.”
Zuko and Sokka looked away, “oh… ok then,”
“And guys I have to leave in a little while to pick Toph on our date,” Aang informed the guys.
“K that’s cool brother, now… lets fire these babies up,” Sokka lifted up some X Box 360 games from his bad. “YEAH!! Slap hands Zuko,” Zuko just looked at him like “what the heck are you on.”


“So how’s it going with Aang Toph?” Katara asked
“Good  he’s been really sweet lately I think he’s going to tell me,” Toph said grinning and laughing a little.
“Awww Toph that’s so romantic, you think he will tell you tonight?” Suki asked.
“I think so,” Toph’s smile got bigger.
“Where are you guys going on your date?” Katara asked.
They were sitting at the table eating vanilla ice cream.
“We are going to a drive in movie.”
“Oh ok, but just so you now…” Katara paused she a small mysterious smile on while looking around the room, Suki and Toph were looking at her now, “Don’t’ do anything you will regret in the future.”
They all laughed.
“Bye guys I’m going now,” Aang said while he walked to the door.
“Now since it’s a drive in you want a horror movie and then you should make out with her a lot  that way you could probably make her sle…” Sokka was smacked in the head by Zuko.
“I’m not going to do that I’m in high school sure its my last year but… nooo.” Aang was shocked where did Sokka get that idea that Aang would do such a thing.
“Bye.”

Ding Dong!

“Coming!” Suki shouted.
Suki opened  the door Aang was standing there, “Hello can I help you?” Suki asked, and Aang looked at her weird.
“Yeah ummm… is Toph here?”
“ Nope sorry she moved to a…”
Toph pushed Suki out for the way, “hi Aang and, sorry about that.”
“No problem.”
“Ok shall we go?”
“Yes we shall,” Aang grabbed  Toph’s hand and lead her to his car she got in his truck and they were off.

“So what movie do you want to see?” Aang asked  Toph.
“Hmmm… I’ll just look at the list and read all the movies,” Toph replied with sarcasm in her voice.
“ok you… wait, Hey!”
Toph laughed, and Aang smiled.
“I think we should see the purposel so I can hear you laugh more,” Aang said quietly and touched her cheek softly. Toph blushed and smile brightly.
It was the middle of the movie and Toph was laughing it up and so was Aang. Toph was holding the speaker so she could listen to the movie and Aang was holding Toph.

“Hey Katara did you know there is a war going on?” Suki asked as they sat on the couch watching TV.
“No, really?”
“Yeah and its bad, they allow benders.”
“Oh my do you think they will make us go into the army?”
“No you have to be over 18 and if or not your parents can sign a paper and crap like that.”
“ok…”


“Ok Toph I’m going to put the speaker away and go to the bath room by right back,” Aang told Toph.
“ok,” Toph smiled at him and he walked away.
Toph leaned against the truck and started to kick dirt.
“Hey Toph,” Luke said walking up in front of her.
“hi what are you doing here?” she asked.
“Me and a few of my buds are going to see a movie, did you come here with Aang?”
“Yeah .”
“Hey Toph I have to tell you something it has been bothering me for a while now.”
“Ok shoot”
“Toph ever since that day we spent together at the water park I have been thinking of you, and that I like you and… yeah. That’s it.”
Toph blinked, wow, she thought.  Suddenly her a Luke’s faces go closer and closer…
“Toph!?” Aang said from a few feet behind Luke.
Toph raised her hand and wiped it across Luke’s face “what the hell was that?!!?!?!” Toph shouted.
“I think you know Toph.” Aang said with anger.
“Aang no you have the wrong idea…”
“NO Toph I don’t! I mean I don’t know why Luke was going to kiss you, but I did know that he was going to kiss you!”
“AANG! Toph shouted almost about to burst in to tears. “Luke you shit head!!!”
“And I was going to tell you that… I loved you.”
